DIY Wreath

For a while now I’ve been wanting to change up the frame above the coffee station in our kitchen, I had an old window from my parents barn that I wanted to incorporate but I didn’t want to use it as a picture frame because I already have a LOT of picture frames. Imagine that, right?

So finally I got the idea (from Pinterest of course) to hang a wreath from the window. You can see the pin here.

I ended up finding the perfect tutorial for a cute wreath on Shanty 2 Chic, which if you’ve never stumbled on their blog is full of awesome DIYs, how to videos and even free plans!

I headed to Michael’s yesterday to pick up the supplies but I ended up adapting the wreath a bit and used wood letters that I spray painted gold. After I spray painted the letters I used a hot glue gun to attach twine to the backs and then hot glued the twine to the wreath, and that was it! So simple but I feel like it adds so much to a plain wreath!

The materials, I used the 40% off coupon they have online for the wreath and my total ended up being around $25 for everything! (the spray paint was the expensive part)
